Dave 202

DAVE202 - DEFINITIV IN DIE OBERE TRANCE/TECHNO-LIGA DER SCHWEIZ AUFGESTIEGEN!

The Beginning

Dave Joy

His DJ-Carreer began in little steps as a 16 year old gifted young Music freak in a popular Pub. He started to collect all kinds of records and CDs until he gradually had enough together to present his own music and DJ sets. With commercial Party music he gained the chance to harvest his first gage. The piles of records and CDs grew bigger and bigger.

Many years later he had the opportunity to put on his music as an official Trance-DJ at a local club in Switzerland, where he was presented under his new guise Dave Joy. This new job opened many doors to other interesting contacts which gave him the possibilities for other gigs.

In November 2000 he had his first chance to produce an own track with a production team from the French part of Switzerland. His first new born track was named First Impression. Out of a lucky coincidence he happened to meet Marco Reverb Guardia, the mind behind the highly acclaimed Flutlicht Project. (together with Giotto DJ they do their productions for the German Label Overdose under the project name S.H.O.K.K.). This unique remix happened to become a huge hit in clubs all around the world. The track can be found on more than 50 compilations worldwide.

Beginning of 2002 he started to produce the follow-up single with his newly found producers David Kolodziej and Mario Kaufmann. The track called Second Chase has been released in September 02 on Planet Traxx Records. Together with Germany’s Oliver Kaylab Klitzing and Alphazone he again was able to place two famous names as remixers on the record.

At the end of 2003 they separated from Mario Kaufmann and, as in return, welcomed Sandro Oswald (Van de Traxx) as our new team-member aboard. This collaboration started to release several tracks, remixes and projects such as Schattenmann, Emphasysts, Final + Sylas and all the tracks with the name Dave Joy on it and it's still growing.

In between the work with his original studiopartners he also did collaborations with several other artists such as Climax69 from Germany. This resulted in the 2004 released track called Skywalker under the projectname Simplex D.S.N.

Another project called Basic Dawn was born in summer 2003 on the label Difuse from Uk´s late Alpha-Magic Distribution. They signed the track called Pure Thrust and let Italy’s NU-NRG do a stunning remix. This track was written and produced together with Switzerland’s Franky Fonell & Chris Reece and became one of the biggest anthems worldwide in 2003. This collaboration ended after producing two other remixes and will not be continued. Pure Thrust will be re-released though in 2005 on Pulsive Records from Germany.

2004 was the year of the big change in his life. After four years of working in one of the biggest Record shops of Switzerland, Number One Recordshop in Zurich, he decided to move to Australia where he continues to build up his reputation as one of the best hardtrance-DJs.

Be prepared for more Dave Joy stuff to come...

D-Light

Stephan today also known as Climax 69, Photon Decay, Simplex DSN, D-Light or Base Jumper starts his activity in 1994. Before he starts professionally deejaying and producing he was buing vinyl and equipment like other pressure guys too. Since over 10 years the same feeling for electronic music is the result of this long decade and the end will be not in sight.

Before he starts to play at ravepartys and in different clubs he recorded mixed tapes to show his talent for party organizer. In the middle of the 90´s (impressed of front 242, a split second or bigod 20 (talla 2xlc) in the end of the 80´s), some organizer get in contact with (at that time called) "d-light" to let him play. That´s the short explanation about the typical way of "d-light", or to be a deejay.

The following years he played with paul van dyk, timo maas, kai tracid, carl cox, and many other deejays at different locations. To be a deejay was only one thing to life these feeling/dream for electronic music.

So in 1997 he get in contact with a local radio station in his hometown hameln, in the near of hannover, north germany. After a short workshop, he got his own radio show called, "plastic dreams". This show was on air every friday for 120 minutes. Spezial guests for example:" timo maas, ian pooley, dj hell, lazard, kai tracid, dan maxam, etc."

In 2004 he stopped his radio activity because of "lack of time". All these years to feel the music and to spread his definition, he starts producing his own music for d-light-music. Todayd-light-musiccan look behind of some different productions and remixes. We hope electronic music will never die and can be for further a part of your all life and we can be a part of it, to give you enjoyness.

DJ Revibe

In the times before Techno, DJ REVIBE was already a fan of electronic music made by J.Jarre Michel, Kraftwerk and others. After joining many raves all over Switzerland in the early 90’s, his love to electronic music forced him to buy his first vinyls. The rising demand for its demo CD's from his friends and the many positive feedbacks showed however that DJ REVIBE met the taste of a broad public with its independent music style.

The spontaneous substituting for a prevented friend in a club became absolute success. He was immediately booked as resident DJ. The bookings accumulated themselves up in the consequence. He also became the chance to play on radio top – one of the biggest radio stations in Switzerland – for three times in 2002 and 2003. In 2003 he also started the cooperation with StarRecords and Synthetic Productions. As the first result his single “Like this!” was released in July 04. This single was supported by DJ’s like Marcel Woods, DJ Shog, Dave Joy and many others. The next productions are already finished and will be released soon to burn the dance floors around the world!

Sean Tyas

After being blown away by some of his recent productions, John Askew has signed up Sean Tyas to join the existing Discover ranks. His first outing on the label will come in the form of a kicking remix he has done of Aled Mann’s “Cold Fusion” which will then set the standard for his first Discover single “Lift” which is sure to be another classic release for the label.“Mark my words…. Tyas will be f**ing huge!!!!” Askew December 05.

Sean Tyas, a New York native and part of BasslineNYC (www.basslinenyc.com), now residing in Switzerland, brings to the dancefloor a mix of melodic harmony and driving groove that is sure to be just as effective on the legs as it is on the heart.

He got his start in 1999 with his first set of Tech-12s and started to learn how to mix music. But for him, this was not enough. In the coming couple of years, he put together a studio and began producing records as well. By the age of twenty six, he has already remixed artists such as Christina Aguilera, Pink, Moby, Daniel Bedingfield, Christina Milian, and PPK. During this time he got his start into professional DJing with clubs in NYC such as Shelter and Exit.

Coming from the energetic trance side of things has given Sean a slight edge when choosing emotional tracks. Now as he slows himself down into deeper side of Progressive, the "less is more" philosophy is slowly coming into play, allowing room to breath in his productions and mixing but retaining all of the power from full-on trance.

Expect much more from Sean as he teams up with the wizards at Moonman Productions (www.moonmanproductions.com) in the coming months!
